Hello I'm Mel's granddad.

Ever since Mary my wife died five years ago Mel has barely left my side. Not that I'm complaining, I love having her around the house and having our little chats. She stayed at my house a lot when little Sophie was born so she could get a good night's sleep and not be kept awake by all the crying. We've grown very close. She's such a good kid and I'm very proud of her. Mel tells me about the bullying that goes on in the school, and I always tell her not to encourage it, that she must stick up for people where she can. She also told me that a girl called Joanne didn't like her, so I told her that she must be jealous cause Mel's such a lovely talented girl, with lots of friends. I'm sure she'd tell me if this Joanne did anything bad to her, I'm sure she'd be sensible about it.
