Weekends are almost busier than when I'm at school during the week! First of all, my family spend a lot of time together at the weekends, I suppose because we had to be split up for a while and even wondered if we'd ever see each other again. We always speak in French at the weekends since that's our first language, and it makes us seem more at home. During the week my Dad tries to make us talk in English all the time, so we do better in school. Then, I go to mosque school on Saturdays to keep learning about Islam. I know some people at school think this is pretty weird, but there you go, religion's important to me and if they can't understand that there's nothing I can do about it. Actually, I don't tell that many people cos I'm a bit sick of them being so amazed. On Sundays I play football for a club, though my Dad thinks I should be doing schoolwork! When I first played it was stupid, it was like everyone expected me to be good just because I'm black. They didn't seem to notice that actually I was seriously useless and I've had to really practice like crazy to get any good.
